Matthew Sleppy, D.C.
After graduating from Penns Manor High school, Dr. Sleppy received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Life University in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2002, Dr. Sleppy received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University, graduating magna cum laude.
Dr. Sleppy has acquired advanced training in extremity injuries and golf injuries, for which he was developed a thorough understanding. Dr. Sleppy’s prior experience as a personal trainer has given him a unique insight into rehabilitation and wellness of the working body. Both his knowledge and experience have allowed him to develop a large spectrum of expertise in seven different chiropractic techniques, including pediatric care, pregnancy care and post-surgical.
Dr. Sleppy resides with his wife Jen and their four children Molly, Macey, Parker, and Patrick.
Gregory VanderBrook, D.C.
Dr. Gregory VanderBrook received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from St. Bonaventure University in 2011. Soon after he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in 2016. Dr. VanderBrook was awarded the Libero A. Violini award, given to those who exemplify a high level of excellence in patient care and chiropractic adjustment procedures. He has been practicing chiropractic for nearly two years in Greensburg.
Dr. VanderBrook’s previous experience as an Exercise Physiology major and his certification in whole foods nutrition has enabled him to have a better understanding into whole body wellness.
Dr. VanderBrook was born and raised in Finger Lakes, New York. He currently resides in Greensburg with his Fiancé, Shelby.
Dan McPherson, Nutritionist
Dan is a Nutritional Consultant certified by the Global Institute for Alternative Medicine and has also earned certifications in Educational Microscopy, Meridian Stress Assessment, Nutritional Response Testing and Personal Fitness Training. He has over ten years of clinical experience. Besides having his own office at Sleppy Chiropractic Family Wellness Center, he works with/for various health practitioners. Most notably, Dr. James Winer, of the Winer Wellness Center, Pittsburgh, PA. Dan is currently Director of Education for Nutritional Frontiers, one of the premier supplement companies in the natural health industry. His website is www.danmcpherson.weebly.com.
Randi Eckenrode, Dietitian
Randi Eckenrode is a dietitian who specializes in dietetic counseling. She attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and from there she earned her bachelor’s degree in Dietetics in 2007. She began dietetic counseling in the fall of 2008 and has been practicing for the last 9 years. She married her husband in 2011 and they have two sons and one daughter.

Randi also created a 12-week “Get Fit” program which allows people to follow a nutrition plan for 12 weeks that focuses on overall health. The program teaches people how to eat healthy, find a balance that fits their lifestyle, and make changes that last a lifetime. During the 12 weeks, participants will be held accountable by a weekly individual weigh-in, given recipes and cover a new topic each week. This program has helped people reach their optimal health for the last 3 years.
Ronna Reininger, Licensed Massage Therapist
Ronna began her practice of massage therapy after graduating from the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy in 1999. She practices the modalities of: Swedish Massage, Neuromuscular and Trigger Point Therapy and Deep Tissue Massage. I have been practicing in the Indiana area for seventeen years. Massage adds to the dimension of total body wellness by providing comfort for the body, mind and spirit.
Sharon Yurky, Office Staff
Sharon Yurky is one of the front desk workers for Sleppy Chiropractic. She has lived in Indiana with her husband Jim for 40 years. They have three dogs and a big back yard in which they spend much of their spare time. She also enjoys traveling and then scrapbooking the trips. She loves chocolate and can be easily bribed for a quick appointment.
Mary Kimmel, Office Staff
Mary started at Sleppy Chiropractic in April, 2014. She lives in Shelocta with her two Furry children; “daughters”, Lacey and Lola (dogs). Her favorite activities include kayaking, lap-swimming, and cross-country skiing, reading, movie nights with friends after horseback riding. Her bucket list includes learning how to waterski, jet-ski, and ride a motorcycle, meeting and marrying her husband, improving her downhill skiing and horseback riding skills. Mary would love to travel to South Africa to visit friends. Mary is a member of the Summit Church in Indiana where she serves on the youth leadership team (going on 17 years) and the tech team.
Carol Affolter, Office Staff
Carol recently joined the practice as one of the back/front desk workers. She is an IUP alumni and a long- time resident of Indiana. Although her background includes a degree in criminology and employment as a medical records librarian, she is enjoying this new season of life working in a chiropractic office. Outside of work, Carol enjoys being with her family and visiting friends. She also enjoys the outdoors and likes to travel.
Peggy Schorsch, Office Manager
Peggy Schorsch is our new office manager. She comes to us with 20 years of Chiropractic office management. She recently relocated from the Pittsburgh area to Johnstown for her husband’s promotion. She has been married to her best friend and the love of her life for 26 years. She has two grown sons and welcomed her first grandbaby in January 2018. Her favorite things to do include camping, bicycling, Steelers football and crafting. She aspires to ride the C&O and GAP from Washington D.C. to Pittsburgh in 2021.
